B-7000 PROJECT GUIDE 25

How Much B-7000 Glue for Rhinestones?

Use the precision tip to match a small, repeatable glue dot to each rhinestone size in a bedazzling kit.

Before you begin

Read the directions supplied with your specific adhesive and test the complete material combination on a hidden area or spare sample.

Match the dot to the flatback

The goal is full contact under the stone without a visible ring of excess adhesive. A tiny 3 mm flatback generally needs less glue than a larger stone, but the actual amount depends on the back shape, surface texture and gap. Test the size on scrap first.

Use the tip as a metering tool

Keep the nozzle close to the surface and squeeze gently. Place one dot, set one stone and observe whether the adhesive reaches the edge after light pressure. If it floods beyond the stone, reduce the next dot; if the back stays dry, increase it slightly.

Work in short rows

Apply only enough dots for the next few stones. This keeps the adjustment window manageable and prevents a large puddle from collecting dust. On curved items, shorten the row further so the stones follow the surface instead of bridging across it.

Clean overflow before it cures

Preventing overflow is easier than removing cured residue. Keep a scrap card and label-approved cleanup method nearby, and do not rub an unknown cleaner across a finished coating. Let the bond develop according to the tube directions before judging the result.

Quick checklist

  • Test one dot on scrap
  • Place one stone at a time
  • Shorten rows on curves
  • Follow the label for cleanup and cure
