B-7000 PROJECT GUIDE 13

Using B-7000 Glue on Glass Craft Projects

Prepare, test and decorate glass surfaces while keeping functional and food-contact areas clear.

Before you begin

Read the directions supplied with your specific adhesive and test the complete material combination on a hidden area or spare sample.

Confirm the object is suitable

Decorative glass differs from drinkware, cookware and safety glass. Keep adhesive away from food-contact areas, heated zones and edges that must remain structurally reliable. Do not use a craft repair as a substitute for professional safety glazing.

Remove invisible interference

Fingerprints, polish and dust can weaken contact. Clean the chosen area only with a method approved for the object, then let it dry fully. Handle the prepared zone by its edges when possible.

Control sliding on a smooth surface

Lay the object so gravity does not pull decorations out of alignment. Work in short rows and use visual guides outside the adhesive area. Curved glass may require smaller sections and more frequent checks.

Inspect edges after curing

Look for lifted corners, sharp parts and glue spread before displaying or handling the object. Follow the directions on the adhesive and the glass item for cleaning; avoid assuming that a decorated surface can be soaked.

Quick checklist

  • Exclude food and heat areas
  • Clean with an approved method
  • Position against sliding
  • Inspect all sharp edges
