Read the directions supplied with your specific adhesive and test the complete material combination on a hidden area or spare sample.
Protect the nozzle during the project
Pause on a scrap card rather than laying an open tube against fabric or paper. Wipe residue from the outside of the tip with a method permitted by the label before replacing the cap. Do not push unrelated objects into the nozzle.
Use the cap as designed
Many precision caps include a pin intended to enter the nozzle. Align the cap gently instead of forcing it at an angle. A clean seal helps limit air exposure and makes the tube easier to reopen for the next project.
Choose a sensible storage position
Follow the package directions for temperature and storage. Keep the tube away from heat, flame, direct sunlight, children and pets. Store it where it cannot be crushed or mistaken for another household product.
Check before reusing an older tube
Inspect the package, cap and material before starting an important project. If the adhesive has changed unexpectedly, the container is damaged or the directions can no longer be read, replace it rather than testing it on the finished item.
