B-7000 PROJECT GUIDE 10

How to Rhinestone a Tumbler

Create a tidy rhinestone tumbler layout while keeping drinking surfaces and functional areas clear.

Before you begin

Read the directions supplied with your specific adhesive and test the complete material combination on a hidden area or spare sample.

Define a safe decoration zone

Keep rhinestones and adhesive away from the rim, lid mechanism, threads, interior and any surface that contacts the mouth or beverage. Decoration should remain entirely on an appropriate exterior area.

Plan rows around the cylinder

Measure the circumference and test a short dry row. Straight rows can be guided with removable low-tack references if they are safe for the finish. Mixed-size designs benefit from a repeated motif rather than random last-minute filling.

Rotate without disturbing stones

Use a stable cradle made for craft work or support the tumbler so it cannot roll. Complete a manageable area, allow it to reach the stage specified by the adhesive directions, then rotate to the next section.

Set realistic care expectations

Do not assume a decorated tumbler is dishwasher-safe, soak-safe or suitable for heat. Follow the tumbler and adhesive care information, and keep the embellished exterior from prolonged contact with water unless the instructions explicitly permit it.

Quick checklist

  • Keep the rim and interior clear
  • Measure before laying rows
  • Use a stable cradle
  • Follow care limitations
