B-7000 PROJECT NOTES

Plan your first rhinestone project

Choose a surface, arrange your pattern and prepare your tools before opening the glue.

Start with a small design so you can work out your spacing before committing to a larger piece.

1. Choose the surface and stones together

Check the surface material, its finish and the backing on your rhinestones. Compatibility depends on all of them. Read your adhesive label and test an inconspicuous area before decorating the finished piece.

2. Lay out a dry pattern

Arrange a small section without glue. Photograph the layout so you have a reference while working. Count each stone size and keep the groups separate in a tray.

3. Prepare your workspace

Keep your surface stable and place the tools within reach. Follow the product label for ventilation, protective equipment and handling. Allow room to leave the finished piece undisturbed.

4. Think about how the object will be used

Consider bending, rubbing and cleaning before choosing your design. Do not assume a decorated item is washable or suitable for food contact. Check the requirements of the materials and adhesive first.
